Stay safe and get your Library materials in a socially distant fashion!
Contactless Checkout will be available at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library beginning June 1, 2020. Patrons may use the library catalog to request books, CDs and audiobooks for curbside pickup to enjoy at home during the closure of the library facility. DVDs are not available to request at this time. To ensure the safety of patrons and staff, please follow the steps below for Contactless Checkout.
Place the items you want on hold using the online library catalog, or call the Circulation Department at 626-307-1366 to request items. There is a limit of one request per week, per household, with up to 20 items per request.
Library staff will prepare your items and check them out to your library card. These items will be available for pick up for 24 hours after notification.
Library staff will call you when your items are available for pick up. Same day pick up is not available. Pick up of materials is available Monday – Friday from 10:00 am–5:00 pm.
Please call the library when you arrive. Library staff will place your items on a table located OUTSIDE the front door. Remain in your car until library staff has gone inside the library, then retrieve your bag of items from the table. The library is currently closed to the public and you will not be able to enter the building to pick up your library materials. Please respect physical distancing protocols and our zero contact pick up.
Take them home to enjoy!
Please do not return books at the pickup table!
For the safety of all patrons and staff we ask that you utilize our outside book return located in the covered parking area next to our back door. This return is open Monday-Friday ONLY. All due dates are extended and no late fees will be charged while the library is closed. This will allow staff to safely and properly process materials for lending again.
