The City of Monterey Park has 75 signalized intersections. The city directly owns the signals at 62 of these intersections. The remaining signals are jointly owned between the city and either the county and/or the state. The city strives to ensure that all emergency repairs on its traffic signals are made within two hours of notification.
Traffic Signal Monitoring
The city monitors its traffic signals for optimum operation and capacity in a joint effort with the county to ensure adequate traffic flow both within the city and regionally. As part of its ongoing energy conservation efforts the city has retrofitted all of its traffic signals with energy efficient LEDs in place of incandescent bulbs.
To report a concern related to traffic signals, please call the Engineering Division at 626-307-1320 or submit a request through GoMPK.
