The Children’s Department offers a variety of services specifically for our students and teachers. Our staff is eager to support teachers’ needs and student learning. Let us know how we can help!
Virtual Class Visits
Introduce your students to the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library by scheduling a live Zoom presentation by one of our librarians. Visits can be tailored to your specific needs, including book talks, storytimes, database tutorials, and library skills instruction. To schedule a virtual class visit, email Senior Librarian Kristin Olivarez or call (626) 307-1358.
On-Demand Homework Help
Tutor.com provides on-demand tutoring, homework help, test preparation and writing assistance for students in grades K-12 in over 60 subjects.
Tutors are available 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Assistance is also available in Spanish seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Anyone residing in the state of California is eligible to apply for a library card. You do not need to live in Monterey Park to apply for a library card.
Digital library cards are available for patrons who do not have a Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library card, but wish to access our digital resources during the library closure.
