2022 Summer Reading Program- COMING SOON!

June 7- July 30
Children ages 0-12 can participate in the Children's Summer Reading Program. Throughout the summer kids keep track of the books they read or listen to and receive prizes for the time that they read. This program also features weekly activities for the whole family including storytimes, crafts and magicians. All programs and activities are completely free of charge. Summer Reading Kick-off: Family Camp-in

Thursday, June 9, 6:30-8 p.m. in the Children's Department
Kick off Summer Reading with an afterhours camp-in in the Children’s Department! Families will enjoy stories, crafts, games and more! Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Michael Rayner, Juggler

Wednesday, June 15, 3 p.m. at the Langley Senior Center
His show has been described as “preposterous brilliance” and “whacky jugglement,” a combination of hilarious tricks and stunts with uproarious stand-up and a bounty of improvised fun and zingers. You’re never sure what’s coming next! This performance is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Monterey Park Library.

Bubblemania Bubble Show

Wednesday, June 29, 3 p.m. at the Langley Senior Center
Join us for a show on the science of bubbles with shimmering waves of soap films, rainbow bubbles, big bubbles, small bubbles, square bubbles, triangle bubbles, bubbles within bubbles, bubbles bouncing on bubbles... and the grand finale where boys and girls get the chance to be inside of a giant bubble! This performance is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Monterey Park Library.

Beat the heat with an afternoon craft! All materials will be provided.

Family Storytime

Tuesdays & Saturdays at 10 a.m. at Barnes Park
Family Storytime is for all ages. Featured stories vary in length, some encourage active listening while others invite participation. Caregivers must attend and are expected to participate and model good listening skills for their children.
**There will be no storytime Saturday, May 28 and June 4.**
**Beginning Tuesday, June 7, all storytimes will be held in the Library Storytime Room.**
