Welcome to the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library 3D Printshop! Patrons are now able to submit their projects for printing at no additional cost. In order to print your projects, please select one of the following options:

If you are a first-time user, stop by the checkout desk to register for a free library card.

If you are a first-time user, stop by the Circulation Desk to register for a free library card.

Weapons, or anything deemed obscene or copyright protected, will not be printed

The library reserves the right to not print projects that may be used as a weapon, obscene, or protected by copyright.

All designs will be reviewed and approved by library staff prior to printing

The library reserves the right to not print objects that do not meet the 3D printing guidelines.

Save your 3D printing file as an.stl file with the name of your file and include your initials (ex. bookmark_dn)

All files must be complete as staff is unable to make adjustments. If the file is not formatted correctly, the project will not be printed. Projects that require more than 4 hours of printing will not be accepted.

Projects will be printed in one color ONLY

The library’s 3D printer is only able to print in one color at a time. For color options, refer to the FAQs below or speak with a staff member to see what colors are available.

Staff will print one project a month 

In order to accommodate all users, the library will only allow patrons to print one project per month.

The Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library’s 3D printer will be handled by designated staff

The public will not have access to the printer at any time.

Stop by the Adult Reference Desk to submit your project. 

Projects will be printed based on staff availability so allow one week r your project to be printed. If the library’s 3D printer malfunctions, staff will attempt to print one more time.

Staff will contact you when your project is ready for pickup

All projects must be picked up within 5 business days unless prior arrangements have been made with staff for a different pick-up date. If projects are not picked up on time, they become the property of the Monterey Park Library.

Disclaimer: Items printed by the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library’s 3D printer are to be used at the discretion of the owner of the item. When the printed item is given to the patron, Monterey Park Public Library and the City of Monterey Park are not responsible for the item. This includes and harm or injury that could arise from the use of printed objects.
