Dial-A-Ride

Dial-A-Ride (DAR) is a FREE SHARED transportation service for Monterey Park Senior Residents ages 55 years or older and/or have a signed form from a physician attesting to a disability. The service provides transportation within city limits, and to medical appointments in adjacent communities within five miles (Alhambra, Montebello, San Gabriel, and other unincorporated LA County areas). Information is also available in English, Chinese and Spanish in the Dial-A-Ride brochure.

How Do I Join?

To become a DIAL-A-RIDE member, residents must complete an application and provide proof of residency with a photo (driver's license or current ID). Approved applicants will have their photo taken to issue a Dial-A-Ride ID Card with a one-time fee of $5.00. Applications are also available at Langley Center.

How Do I Schedule an Appointment:

Call the dispatcher desk at 626-307-1395 or 626-307-1396 and provide your name, address, phone number, time of pick up, and any special accommodations (wheelchair, walker, etc.). Medical appointments must be made at least five days in advance and regular appointments must be made at least three days in advance. Service is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Going back home:
